Kratos > Perseus from Clash of Titans Movie

They both are man on mission. They both have strong power and will. They both helped occasionally by Gods during their mission, but how on earth Kratos, who is a fictional character on a game is much better than Sam Worthington's Perseus? It all downs to one main point, the story of the character.

Kratos is a man with vengeance. Everywhere he goes, you'll see people, gods, monster or any sort of creatures get killed by him. He is one angry man who both accidentally slain his own family. He bring that grief for all his life and go against any Gods who opposed him. Kratos seems like someone who only know how to kill and there are no story behind his rage..totally wrong.

Let me give you a little back story about Kratos. As a Spartan, he was always monitored since he was a child. He went through several phase of his life, earned his recognition to become A captain of Spartan army. Even at such young age, he is aggressive and full of rage. He was unbeatable until he found a Barbarian army who annihilate his army and he need the help from God of War, Ares to win the war against the Barbarian. He got himself Blade of Chaos and in return he terror many places in the name of Ares until he come into a village. Ares tricked him into killing his own family, supposedly in purpose of making him more dangerous, become the death itself. The Village Oracle cursed him and the ashes of his fallen family form his pale white skin, as a mark of his wrongdoing. He hates Ares and seeks retribution, but he was to served Gods of Olympus in hope that they can release him from his grief and sins.

Long story short, the game God of War I to III explains his up and down journey toward erasing his grief from killing his family. He experienced betrayal, death, obstacles, fury of Gods and many more but he withstand it to gain his ultimate goal on God of War III, killing Zeus and all Gods in Olympus. He succeed, but not because he got cool weapons, not because he got awesome moves, not because he got helped from the Titans or from any other Gods..nope. He used evil side of Pandora Box to defeat Ares but this time, he used a power that in the game this violent, it seems like a weak power among the Gods but it''s so humane and effective. HOPE. He used the power of HOPE from the Pandora Box to finally forgive himself of his sins of killing his family. A GUILT and GRIEF that burdened him over the year during his journey finally gone. He able to defeat Zeus and forgive himself. In his last act, he attempt suicide so that he can spread the HOPE inside him throughout the world and banishes all evil and sins in the world. An act that none of us would expect from Kratos.

You can read his full story by either playing the games or reading an article on internet so that you are able to follow his journey, but his journey has a big Moral that we can learn. We might be guilty of doing sins, that might lead us to grief and wrongdoing. Instead of blaming others or caught in limbo of guilt and grief, we must be able to forgive ourselves of our sins and think of what we can do to make a better for future for us all. This is why I think Kratos is a much better character than Perseus from the movie, some of you might agree, some of you might not but I lay down my opinion and you can leave comments so I can see what you think about it.

Indra GM captures the essence of Action Figures

Hi guys, this second post on my new blog is to talk about one of my friend who share the same passion as me in terms of action figure. His name is Indra and I knew him from my friend here in Perth. He was (probably still is) a game freak but he is growing up and he combines his passion of photography with his action figures + video games knowledge and comes up with an art that fascinates me. I am pretty sure there are other people out there who does the same thing as him, but his pictures are worth checking out.

I put some of his pictures of Iron Man and Kamen Raider action figures. You can see for yourself how he captures the essence of the action figure in his photograph. This is a still photography, means the object is not moving, but he's done it so brilliantly like for example capturing this Iron Man Mark III in a close up pose. You can say he edit this and that so that the pictures look magnificent but the essence is there. When I stare at this picture, I'm not looking at just a picture of an action figure, it feels like staring the Iron Man itself with Tony Stark piloting inside. This Mark III pictures are just one of many of his magnificent shots, I'll post some of the pictures and also the link to his flickr account so you guys will be able to see the other pictures that he has taken so far. He does pre-wedding photographies as well, so just you guys not confused when flicking through his flickr account.

David Villa to Barcelona, GOOD OR BAD?

Starting a new fresh blogging life with this review on the rumored transfers of David Villa going to Barcelona. Mind you, at the time of writing this transfer are still rumored so nothing is official yet, I will review the goods and the bads if the transfer is actually happened.

First I will start with David Villa.

What more we can say about 'el guaje' ? He is a prolific goalscorer, a consistent performer that not only goalscoring, he lay down crucial assists for his teammate. I didn't follow La Liga closely, but I think he is the vice-captain for Valencia. How on earth this guy never moves club from Valencia? It is because his allegiance to the club that he believes he might reach success with but it wasn't meant to be. A consistent performer for both Spain and Valencia, this guy deserves a bigger club, especially as he is 28 years old and hoping to gain more football accolades before ending his career. Is he a traitor for leaving Valencia? NO. This move will balance the book of Valencia's finance as there is still loan repayment debt that need to be cleared up. All Valencia need to negotiate is to get more cash rather than Bojan + Hleb + small amount of cash.

Pros and Cons

I will review the pros and cons in terms of Barcelona point of view rather than David Villa's or Valencia's. For Barcelona, this transfer will be an excellent one. Barcelona is using a 4-3-3 formation, where the 3 trident forwards are Pedro, Ibrahimovic and Messi. In a sense, Villa seems to be a replacement for Ibrahimovic..it could be right but in my opinion Villa is a much more complete forward compared to Ibra. He can be used on the left side of the attack where Pedro or Henry usually operates as these 2 wingers on these tridents aren't instructed to play wide along the lines and supply crosses, they usually cuts inside and wreck havoc on the opponent's penalty area. If this is where Pep Guardiola want to put him in the formation, then there will be no problem for Barcelona at all, it will complement where Barcelona is lacking this season, the left side of attack where Henry is inconsistent and Pedro is not playing up to his standards, Barca's attack will be held up and that is why is able to scores an amazing 31 goals in La Liga because the opposite flank is not playing as well as he is.

No matter how you look at it, David Villa is an excellent transfer for Barca, regardless of whether they need to let go of their teenage sensation, Bojan Krcic to Valencia or not. The only cons in this transfer is if David Villa is used as a center forward rather than left forwards, can Zlatan Ibrahimovic accept the fact that he is the substitute for Villa, or rather shipped to the left flank just to adjust Villa as a center forward? Zlatan not known for his good manner and no ego at all, he is still a controversial figure as he was in Ajax where he once threw a scissor to his teammate, Mido! But the cons is only a 'what if' assumption, if Pep Guardiola play his cards right and go ahead with this transfer, Villa-Ibra-Messi might be an unstoppable force in La Liga and Europe next season.

FINAL SCORE: 9.5 / 10
