They both are man on mission. They both have strong power and will. They both helped occasionally by Gods during their mission, but how on earth Kratos, who is a fictional character on a game is much better than Sam Worthington's Perseus? It all downs to one main point, the story of the character.
Kratos is a man with vengeance. Everywhere he goes, you'll see

people, gods, monster or any sort of creatures get killed by him. He is one angry man who both accidentally slain his own family. He bring that grief for all his life and go against any Gods who opposed him. Kratos seems like someone who only know how to kill and there are no story behind his rage..totally wrong.
Let me give you a little back story about Kratos. As a Spartan, he was always monitored since he was a child. He went through several phase of his life, earned his recognition to become A captain of Spartan army. Even at such young age, he is aggressive and full of rage. He was unbeatable until he found a Barbarian army who annihilate his army and he need the help from God of War, Ares to win the war against the Barbarian. He got himself Blade of Chaos and in return he terror many places in the name of Ares until he come into a

village. Ares tricked him into killing his own family, supposedly in purpose of making him more dangerous, become the death itself. The Village Oracle cursed him and the ashes of his fallen family form his pale white skin, as a mark of his wrongdoing. He hates Ares and seeks retribution, but he was to served Gods of Olympus in hope that they can release him from his grief and sins.
Long story short, the game God of War I to III explains his up and down journey toward erasing his grief from killing his family. He experienced betrayal, death, obstacles, fury of Gods and many more but he wi

thstand it to gain his ultimate goal on God of War III, killing Zeus and all Gods in Olympus. He succeed, but not because he got cool weapons, not because he got awesome moves, not because he got helped from the Titans or from any other Gods..nope. He used evil side of Pandora Box to defeat Ares but this time, he used a power that in the game this violent, it seems like a weak power among the Gods but it''s so humane and effective. HOPE. He used the power of HOPE from the Pandora Box to finally forgive himself of his sins of killing his family. A GUILT and GRIEF that burdened him over the year during his journey finally gone. He able to defeat Zeus and forgive himself. In his last act, he attempt suicide so that he can spread the HOPE inside him throughout the world and banishes all evil and sins in the world. An act that none of us would expect from Kratos.
You can read his full story by either playing the games or reading an article on internet so that you are able to follow his journey, but his journey has a big Moral that we can learn. We might be guilty of doing sins, that might lead us to grief and wrongdoing. Instead of blaming others or caught in limbo of guilt and grief, we must be able to forgive ourselves of our sins and think of what we can do to make a better for future for us all. This is why I think Kratos is a much better character than Perseus from the movie, some of you might agree, some of you might not but I lay down my opinion and you can leave comments so I can see what you think about it.
